HTML

Hypertext mark-up language is the basic foundation used to build all Web pages. HTML 4.0 is the current standard, and was approved on December 18, 1997. Included in the specification is suport for CSS, XML, and JavaScript/ECMA Script.


HyperText Mark-up Language; a defined set of special character strings embedded in documents for formatting Web pages. HTML documents consist of these characters plus content that is visible within a Web browser. See also browser.
