Sound waves bouncing or reflecting off a wall, ceiling, floor or object in a room and reaching the listener just after the direct sound waves emanating from the speakers themselves. The sound waves coming directly from the speakers do not reflect off other surfaces before reaching the listener. Early reflections arrive at nearly the same time as these direct sound waves.
