LED (Light Emitting Diode)

Solid-state electrical device that emits random light when a forward rushing current is conducted through it. LEDs are used for various purposes including as status indicators on amplifiers, preamplifiers and other audio/video components. They are also used in groups to form letters and other characters on a small display to provide information on the status or operation of audio/video components and of preamplifiers and receivers especially. LEDs are flexible and used in many different jobs to provide information through single lights or through groupings of lights.
