Video Input

Connection point or jack of a video or audio/video component that allows a video signal to enter the component from another source. This process entails a signal being passed from a source component and coming into the component with the input. There are several types of video inputs and outputs including S-video connections, RCA connections (which should use a coaxial video cable with a RCA connector not a standard audio RCA cable), F-connections (typical cable television cable), and component video (several cables each of which carry their own signal).
