Video Overlay

1) the combining of two or more video signals to get one resulting video output; 2) in particular, the placement of computer-generated video over standard video, including the placement of lettering (titles) by dedicated titling systems; video overlay requires special hardware (including a unit called genlock) to synchronize the input video signals.
