Fleet Angle

The maximum lateral bending angle imposed onto the coiled tubing as seen at the entrance to the tubing guide arch. After the injector and service reel are properly positioned, a reference line is run from the center of the tubing guide arch through a point on the service reel located midway between the reel flanges. The fleet angle is represented as the angle between the reference line and a second line run from the entrance to the tubing guide arch to the wall of either the reel flange, as measured along the same plane.
