Rain Forest

A dense, luxuriant, evergreen forest of hot, wet equatorial regions containing many trees of tremendous heights, largely covered with lianas and epiphytes. Individual species of trees are infrequent but they include such valuable tropical hardwoods such as mahogany, ebony and rubber. Typical equatorial forests occur in Zaire and Amazon basins in southeastern Asia.
