Motor Yaw

The opposite of free yaw. In a motor yaw, WT electrical motors are used to precisely control the orientation of the nacelle and rotor and to prevent free yawing motion. The WT control system will decide in which direction to point the nacelle based on wind direction data averaged over a few minutes. Also known as forced yaw.
