Feedback Amplifier

Microwave amplifiers (GaAs FET or bipolar transistor) using negative feedback in the amplification stages. Used to control input and output impedances, increase operating bandwidth and help minimize performance variations caused by inherent variations in transistor parameters. Is replacing balanced amplification in some newer Avantek amplifier designs since it requires only a single transistor per stage as opposed to two.
