Software that enables groups of people to work together - Microsoft Word documents that they can all access, change etc - the software will maintain a current version for all of the users. Very useful for large projects where a number of PC files have to be kept up to date by a number of different people who have different responsibilities. Lotus Notes is one of the best examples of groupware.
