A non-linear relationship where one item is proportional to the logarithm of the other item. So for a logarithmic fade in, the curve becomes "flatter" with time; a logarithmic fade-out becomes "steeper" with time. Some measures, such as dB, are logarithmic by definition. See also Exponential.
