Hippolytus

(180-230) 3rd Century Roman Christian leader who wrote "Philosophoumena", and other refutations against heresy much directed against Gnosticism. Known to have been associated with Tertullian in standing against some Gnostic beliefs. Hippolytus wrote "The Refutation of All Heresies", where in Book 5, he discloses the Sethians, and Naassenes (See ; Iranaeus, See also; "Gnostic Secrets of the Naassenes", by Gaffney, Inner Traditions, 2004.) http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/hippolytus.html
