[Kicking Technique] Hook Kick. This kick can be used to hook the attacker who moves in during the execution of the kick. It uses the heel or sole of the foot as the striking surface. To perform this kick from the forward stance, using the back leg, lift the knee up high while twisting the foot of the supporting leg in the opposite direction to open up the hip. Kick in a circular motion just passing the center line, then pull the leg back and return it to the ground.
