Selectivity coefficient (kA/B)

In ion-exchange chromatography, the equilibrium coefficient obtained by applying the law of mass action to an ion exchanger and characterizing the ability of an ion exchanger to select two ions present in the same solution using electroosmotic flow. For example, the exchange of Na+ for H+kNa/H = ([Na]S [H]M)/([Na]M [H]S).
