Callout

A visual design element which is used to highlight a specific piece of information not contained in the main body of an article. Callouts are usually smaller than a typical sidebar and may involve text, graphics, or both. In layout design, they normally allow an online reader to click to another web page to take an action, such as branching off to a new browser tab to subscribe to the online magazine they’re reading.
