M-Wallets, or mobile wallets, are software applications that hold a user’s sensitive personal and financial information, such as credit card numbers, expiration dates, bank account information, passwords and Personal Identification Numbers (PIN). Most m-wallets are server- based, which theoretically is more secure and avoids placing data onto mobile devices, which are often processor- and memory-constrained.
