CD Changer

Type of compact disc player that holds more than one disc internally and that can swap discs to play various discs without the need for the user to physically swap discs or add discs. A CD changer is like a jukebox, holding multiple discs that can be played back at will entirely inside the machine. he primary advantage is that you do not need to change CDs manually. CD changers add a degree of convenience as opposed to single-disc players that require you to take out the current disc and insert another each time you want to use another disc. CD changers also allow the continuous playing of CDs for long periods of time without interruption and the programming of multiple tracks or individual songs to be played back from multiple discs. ost CD changers are used for audio CDs although there are computer-based changers for CD-ROMs as well as DVD changers. Changers come in a variety of formats including the carousel changer holding multiple discs on a flat platter with indentations for the CDs, the magazine changer holding the CDs in a compact square box with each disc occupying a designated tray stacked one atop the other, and the rotary or jukebox changer in which discs are held in grooves around a circular rotating “wheel.” These are the most often used types of changers although there are others available. The rotary or jukebox style changer holds the most discs with capacities of up to 200 or more discs.
