Passive Crossover

Crossover that does not require electricity and does not use active circuitry to accomplish its task. Passive crossovers are found in almost all speakers where they divide up the incoming signal and serve it to the various speaker drivers that make up the speaker as an entirety. Passive crossovers are not adjustable beyond their factory-created settings making them somewhat less versatile than active crossovers using electronic circuitry to accomplish the crossover tasks. Passive crossovers use resistors, capacitors and inductors.
