Watt

Measurement of power derived by multiplying current by voltage; measurement used to quantify the amount of power output by an amplifier. rrent is the flow of electrons through a circuit, and it is measured in amperes. Voltage is the difference in electrical potential between two points in a circuit that causes energy to flow through the circuit (energy flows from an area of high energy concentration to one of low concentration). Voltage can be thought of as the pressure pushing energy through a circuit while current is the flow of energy being pushed. ink of voltage and current in terms of a water pipe. The flow of water, the amount of water moving in the pipe over a given length of time, is the current. The voltage is the force pushing the water through the pipe. Power is derived by pushing energy in the form of electrons through a circuit. For this to occur there must be a flow of electrons (the current) and a force pushing them through the circuit (the voltage). If we increase the pushing force (the voltage), the amount of power is increased and the watt rating goes up. If we increase the flow (the amount of electrons moving through the circuit at a given time – the current), then we achieve an increase in power and the watt rating also increases. plifiers use voltage and current to create power, measured in watts. The power created then flows through the speaker and enables it to move (the current flowing through the speaker voice coil, an electromagnet essentially, creates a varying magnetic field that interacts with a stationary metal magnet to create motion).wer (in watts) can also be derived by dividing voltage squared by resistance/impedance.
