Epilogue

Elements of narrative discourse that occur after the plot itself is completed, often telling what happened to major and minor characters in later years. (In film, an epilogue can be dramatized, though it may be communicated graphically, as in Boys Don't Cry or The French Connection, both of which present written descriptions of the criminals' fates.)
