Implied author

The creator presupposed by the narrative itself. The implied author is the source of our sense of the fiction's underlying values and beliefs—its ideology. The values of the narrator usually correspond to those of the implied author, but in "unreliable narration" they do not. The implied author may or may not resemble the real author (Booth).
