Electric Logging

An instrument measurement of resistivity and self-potential of formations immediately adjacent to the wellbore. These measurements are obtained by passing electrodes across the formations of interest within the wellbore. Electric logs are typically run on wireline to obtain information concerning the porosity, permeability, fluid content of the formations drilled, etc.
