Extremely rapid or ";run-away"; inflation. The precise boundary line between ";ordinary"; inflation and hyperinflation is somewhat arbitrary, but contemporary economists generally reserve the term hyperinflation for situations in which the general price level is increasing at rates in excess of 50% per month.
