Transponder Bandwidth

Transponder bandwidth typically varies from 36 MHz to, in some cases, higher than 120 MHz. Such wider band transponders are often used for data transmissions but may also be subdivided into segments used to relay multiple video signals. Thus channel bandwidth is often less than transponder bandwidth. In such "half-transponder" video formats, the center frequency does not lie in the middle of the transponder band.
